WebFeb 1, 2012 · Because SLAMF6 and SLAMF3 have been shown to be engaged in Th cell differentiation, we asked whether SLAM receptors play a role in the pathogenesis of SLE, and whether they contribute to Th17 differentiation. We report that surface expression of SLAMF6 and SLAMF3 is increased in SLE T cells and mirrors disease activity.
